For many years, I worked behind the camera — capturing people in their most vulnerable and beautiful moments. I photographed men and women from all walks of life: some radiated confidence effortlessly, while others came to me nervous, hesitant, and unsure of themselves. My role as a photographer wasn’t just to take a picture — it was to help them see themselves, perhaps for the first time, through kinder eyes.
Over time, I realised that what happened in front of the lens often mirrored what was happening inside. The way someone carried themselves, the way they smiled (or didn’t), the way they tried to hide parts of their body — it was never just about the photo. It was about how they felt about who they were. And that’s where my passion for body confidence truly began.
I’ve had the privilege of working with people who have walked some incredibly tough paths — those who’ve faced cancer and learned to love their bodies again after mastectomies or surgeries, those living with colostomy bags, and those who have undergone significant weight loss journeys. Every single person had a story written into their skin, and every story was worthy of being seen, celebrated, and loved.
Encouraging people to recognise their beauty — not in spite of their bodies, but because of them — became one of the most meaningful parts of my work. Helping someone who’s spent years hiding finally look at their reflection and smile… that’s the kind of transformation that stays with you forever.
But I also understand that journey deeply myself. I’ve lived through the painful reality of an eating disorder and body dysmorphia. I know what it’s like to feel trapped in a battle with your own reflection, constantly chasing an image of “perfection” that doesn’t exist. Coming out the other side taught me that body confidence isn’t about how we look — it’s about how we feel about ourselves, how we speak to ourselves, and how we treat ourselves.
That understanding is what now drives my work as a Body Confidence Coach.
Body confidence coaching is about helping you rebuild the relationship you have with your body — from the inside out. It’s not about diets or ideal shapes; it’s about acceptance, awareness, and learning to truly appreciate the body that carries you through life. Together, we work on shifting negative thought patterns, letting go of comparison, and embracing who you are right now — not who you think you “should” be.
Through a mix of mindset work, confidence exercises, and guided self-reflection, I help clients move from self-criticism to self-compassion. Whether you’re struggling with weight changes, scars, aging, or simply feeling disconnected from your body, this is about learning to see yourself as whole again — and to love yourself without condition.
Our bodies tell stories of survival, strength, and resilience. They change as we grow, and every mark, scar, or curve is a part of that story. When we start to honour our bodies for everything they’ve been through — instead of judging them — that’s where true body confidence begins.
If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and felt not good enough, I want you to know: you are so much more than a reflection. You are a collection of experiences, emotions, and moments that make you beautifully human. And learning to love that person — just as they are — is one of the greatest gifts you can ever give yourself.
Because when you begin to see yourself differently, you don’t just shine in photos — you shine in life.
